Indonesia to Host World Water Forum 2024 in Bali

Berita209 Dilihat, Jakarta – After the G20 Summit, Indonesia will host yet another international event; the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) in 2024. The Indonesian government through Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan was selected to chair the national committee of the forum.

The agenda will be held in Bali in May 2024 under the theme of Water for Shared Prosperity. “The issue of water is essential for the global community. We want this forum to be held like the G20 so that forum members can formulate concrete steps on the programs and issues discussed,” Luhut said in a statement on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

Luhut said that this global event is among the government’s efforts to show the world that Indonesia could host an international forum. He hoped that the 10th WWF will bring good impacts on the global community.

World Water Forum is held every three years to discuss and promote water-related issues globally. This forum brings together diverse stakeholders from 172 countries to discuss, share knowledge, and find solutions to water problems. In addition to government officials, non-governmental organizations, scientists, practitioners, and civil society representatives will participate in this forum.
